KING OF PRUSSIA, PA, September 6, 1995 -- PTS Learning Systems has developed the industry's first on-demand desktop learning product that, through a revolutionary feature called "Lightning Learning," allows users to master applications by learning within the application.

On-Demand Interactive Learning will be available early September to any company or PC user that plans to install or convert to Windows® 95, announced Michael Levinson, chief executive officer of PTS.

"We identified a critical need to bring to market a product that would help users rapidly migrate to Windows® 95 and other new technologies," said Levinson. "Companies can run this product on their network with existing equipment and don't need to send employees to a learning lab, effectively avoiding any additional costs."

On-Demand Interactive Learning lets users choose from three learning modes to get real-time teaching without ever exiting the application, calling the company's technical support desk, or soliciting help from another employee, the most commonly used resources for someone unsure about the use of an application.

To date, no other U.S. company has introduced a product that offers "live in the application" desktop training and support for standard or custom applications with such an extensive range of learning modes. Users can choose from: 1) Animated Demo that uses text, graphics and sound in a simulated environment, allowing the user to simply watch to learn the correct steps; 2) Interactive Teacher that uses text, graphics, sound and animation in a simulated environment to demonstrate the necessary mouse clicks or keystrokes -- the user then repeats each step in order to successfully complete an activity; 3) Lightning Learning uses text, graphics, sound and an animated laser pointer inside the user's application to guide the user, then checks off each step as it is completed.

"We believe On-Demand Interactive Learning's context-sensitive property combined with its three learning tools will significantly decrease the amount of time employees spend trying to get help in the course of a day and ultimately increase employee productivity and reduce support and training costs dramatically," said Levinson.

PTS will begin offering On-Demand Interactive Learning in early September to businesses interested in installing it company-wide as an alternate or complement to instructor-led courseware for Windows® 95 and any other standard or custom applications.
